This Privacy Policy describes how LawnWire ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the LawnWire website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information You Provide Directly
- Account information: Email address, password (hashed), first name, last name, phone number, and locale when you create a LawnWire account.
- Organization information: Business name, business contact details, and other details you provide about your lawn care business.
- Client and customer information: Names, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, property details (including location coordinates), service notes, preferences, and communication preferences for the customers you manage within the Service.
- Service data: Schedules, jobs, visits, invoices, payments, services performed, and other operational data you enter into the Service.
- Communication: Messages, feedback, support requests, and other content you send to us or through the Service.
- Early access signups: If you sign up via a form on our website, we collect your email address and information you provide about your business (such as customer count).
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: Pages visited, features used, actions taken within the Service, timestamps, and referring URLs.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and similar technical information.
- Location data: Approximate location derived from IP address. With permission, more precise location data from mobile devices for routing features.

Information From Third Parties
- Google Sign-In: If you sign in using Google, we receive your email address, name, and Google user ID as described in the Google Sign-In section below.
- Payment processors: Transaction confirmations and non-sensitive payment metadata from Stripe.
- Analytics providers: Aggregated data from analytics tools described below.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- Create and manage your account
- Process transactions and send related confirmations
- Deliver scheduled communications on your behalf (appointment reminders, invoices, service notifications) to your clients

5. Payment Processing
LawnWire uses Stripe, Inc. to process payments for our subscription services and to enable our users to collect payments from their own customers through Stripe Connect. When you provide payment information, that information is transmitted directly to Stripe and is subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
LawnWire does not store, retain, or have access to credit card numbers, CVV codes, bank account numbers, or any other sensitive payment credentials — ever. All payment credentials are handled exclusively by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. We only receive non-sensitive transaction metadata such as transaction IDs, amounts, status, and timestamps.
For our users who enable payment collection through Stripe Connect (or similar features), payment information from their customers is processed directly by Stripe. LawnWire never stores or has access to the payment credentials of your customers.

6. Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in to LawnWire using Google, we receive the following information from Google:
- Your email address
- Your name (first and last)
- Your Google user ID
- Your profile picture (if you have one set)
- Your locale preference
We use this information solely to create and authenticate your LawnWire account. We do not access your Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google services beyond what is required to authenticate you. We do not post to your Google account or access your Google data without your explicit permission.
You can revoke LawnWire's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
LawnWire uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to:
- Keep you signed in between sessions
- Remember your preferences
- Measure how the Service is used
- Improve performance and functionality
- Support marketing and analytics efforts
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through settings. Disabling cookies may limit your ability to use certain features of the Service.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.
After you delete your account or request deletion:
- We typically delete or anonymize personal information within 90 days, though we may purge sooner on request.
- Information necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or contractual obligations (including billing records) may be retained for longer periods as required by law.
- Information that has been de-identified or aggregated may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement.
- Backup copies may persist for up to 90 additional days before being overwritten.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest where applicable, access controls, and regular security reviews.
No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
11. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Object to or restrict certain processing

LawnWire is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.
